The Gongura pickle is made from the Gongura leaves, also known as Roselle in English and Ambaadi in Marathi. It's celebrated across the region for its availability, nutritional benefits, its characteristic tart taste and its cultural significance. Made with Roselle leaves, garlic, tamarind, chilli powder and other spices, this pickle is an authentic Andhra experience. Enjoy it with hot rice and ghee, as a sandwich spread, a side dish for your pakoras or chips or even as a topping for your Monaco biscuits! But be warned - it's Hot!

Each product is made at its place of origin so that the authentic local taste is maintained. And we use only the best available courier partners to deliver to your pincode so that the product reaches you fresh. Therefore, we have a nominal shipping charge of Rs.50 per order. This is applicable throughout the website.

We currently offer Cash on Delivery facility for most pin codes. Basis the pin code entered in the address field, the system will display the availability of COD option at Checkout.
Please note that COD facility is charged at Rs.50. The COD charge does not change with the order value and it is a flat constant charge.

If you’d like to save on the COD charge, we advise you to complete the payment using UPI/ Paytm / Debit cards/ Credit card/ Netbanking.

Gongura: A super leaf with many names

Gongura is a plant, also known as Andhra Matha (Mother Andhra) in Telugu or Roselle, grown for its edible leaves in India and Fiji. These leaves are used to impart a tart flavour in a dish. Out of the two varieties that Gongura comes in, the red stemmed variety is sour than the green stemmed variety. Gongura Pacchadi is an Andhra cuisine and Gongura has many culinary uses, but the most popular is its pickled version. It is also grown in Odisha, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh & Bangladesh.
