The pages of my high school history book came alive on my recent trip to Burhanpur. Did you know the Taj Mahal was supposed to be built here if only they had white marble available?
Here’s a souvenir from the historical city. It’s a traditional namkeen snack called the Gathiya - spicy bites made of wholesome gram flour. You can have this spicy snack as an accompaniment to sweet jalebis or with desi chai. Enjoy!
